Abigail Piotrowicz

My name is Abigail Piotrowicz, and I am a recent graduate from the University of Connecticut, where I earned a Master of Arts in Curriculum and Instruction from the NEAG school of education and began my teaching career for secondary English Language Arts. Additionally, I've earned a Bachelor of Arts in English with a minor in Human Development and Family Sciences from UConn as well. This summer I will be the Program Manager for the PCS Hartford branch  and previously, I worked as a Program Assistant and Residential Assistant with the program. I am beyond excited to join the team for another fantastic summer, debuting our first ever PCS Hartford commuter program!

Summer Advisors

Anthony Lee Cruz Rivas

Hi everyone!! My name is Anthony Lee Cruz Rivas (he/him), and I’m an undergraduate student at UConn. I’m really excited to be working with PCS this summer because I love helping people feel welcomed and supported, especially when something new feels a little overwhelming at first. I love pastries, good conversation, and frying my friends at basketball. I can’t wait to meet you all and have a great summer together.

Kiyah Garnett

Hey everyone! My name is Kiyah Garnett, and I’m so excited to be your Summer Advisor at the Hartford campus this summer! I’m a UConn alum with a bachelor’s in Digital Media & Design, and I’m currently pursuing my MSW in the Individuals, Groups, and Families concentration. Through my experiences with nonprofits, creativity, and passion for helping others, I aim to create spaces that explore art therapy in nontraditional and unexpected ways. I’m especially interested in expanding how healing and expression can show up in community settings to better support underserved communities. Outside of school and work, I love crocheting, traveling, and spending time with loved ones, and I’m really looking forward to meeting you all this summer!

Sofia Giusti

Hi everyone! I'm Sofia and I'm a senior at UConn Storrs, majoring in Political Science with a minor in History. I am so excited to help the incoming students get a taste of college coursework and familiarize them with the campus!

Fariha Tahosin Boishakhi

My name is Fariha Tahosin Boishakhi, and I am excited to be joining UConn Pre-College Summer as a Summer Advisor at the Hartford campus. I am currently a Ph.D. student in Computer Science and Engineering at UConn.

I enjoy working with students, helping them feel welcomed, and supporting them as they explore new academic interests and prepare for college life. Outside of research, I love mentoring, organizing community events, and learning about different cultures and languages. I am looking forward to meeting everyone and being part of a fun, supportive, and memorable summer experience!
