Nella is the Director of the Pre-College Summer Program and is the Assistant Director of Academic Outreach for Early College Experience for the Office of Early College Programs. Nella oversees all operations and processes for PCS, specifically the academic course offering schedule and course enrollment process. Nella received her bachelor’s degree from the University of Connecticut and her Master’s in Education Administration from Illinois State University.
Melanie is the Associate Director of Pre-College Summer and Program Assistant for ECE Academic Standards for the Office of Early College Programs. Melanie's primary responsibilities for PCS include spearheading social media and marketing campaigns through various uses of technology and applications. She also oversees the application review process for PCS. Melanie attended the University of Connecticut where she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology.
Manager, Financial Operations, Early College Programs
Erin is the Administrative Coordinator for the Office of Early College Programs and is responsible for the administrative and fiscal management of Pre-College Summer. Erin brings valuable administrative experience. Erin most recently received her bachelor's degree from the University of Connecticut, and has an Accounting degree from Three Rivers Community College.
University Specialist, Pre-College Summer
After serving as a Graduate Assistant for two years, Joe has now transitioned to a University Specialist role. His primary responsibilities include managing special projects, overseeing website design and development, coordinating details and descriptions for academic courses, and managing policies and procedural operations of the Program. Joe also coordinates the schedule for student exploratory workshops and social programming activities. Joe recently completed his master's degree in the Higher Education and Student Affairs (HESA) program at the University of Connecticut. Prior to arriving to UConn, Joe completed a Bachelor of Science degree in Public Health at Merrimack College in Massachusetts.
Graduate Assistant, Pre-College Summer
Erin is a Graduate Assistant for the Pre-College Summer Program. Erin is primarily responsible for tracking and maintaining student records and remaining in contact with PCS participants and their parents/guardians. She also assists with maintaining the program's marketing and communication campaign. Erin has been with the Pre-College Summer program since the summer of 2014, and her first two summers were spent as a PCS Resident Manager. Erin is Doctoral Candidate in Human Development and Family Studies (HDFS) at the University of Connecticut. She also earned a Master's degree in HDFS from the University of Connecticut and a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from Worcester State University.
Cody is a Graduate Assistant for the Pre-College Summer Program, and is currently enrolled in the Higher Education and Student Affairs (HESA) master's program at the University of Connecticut. Cody's primary responsibilities include selection, training, and supervision of PCS residential staff, as well as coordinating marketing and social media campaigns. In addition, Cody assists with the review of student applications and enrollments. Prior to arriving to UConn, Cody completed a bachelor's degree in Marketing at Shippensburg University.
CETL Educational Technologies Staff
Gordon is a Media Producer for the Educational Technologies department for the UConn Center for Excellence in Teaching and Learning (CETL). Gordon produces custom, high-definition media in support of education and instruction for Pre-College Summer.
Mike is a Media Producer for the Educational Technologies department for the UConn Center for Excellence in Teaching and Learning (CETL). Gordon produces custom, high-definition media in support of education and instruction for Pre-College Summer.
CETL Program Development and Support Staff
Bill provides marketing support for academic program partners, including survey research, planning, search engine optimization, customer relationship management, website development, tracking, and analysis.
Sue is responsible for planning, developing, executing graphic design, web-design, and marketing strategies needed to support the marketing and communication plans of all CETL units, including Pre-College Summer.
