Summer Concerts on the square
Join the Mansfield Downtown Partnership and the Town of Mansfield for Summer Concerts on the Square! These free musical performances are open to the public and take place on Betsy Paterson Square in Storrs Center.
Husky Heritage Sports Museum
The sights and sounds of more than a century of intercollegiate athletics competition come alive during a visit to the J. Robert Donnelly Husky Heritage Sports Museum.
Located in the new and expanded UConn Alumni Center in the heart of the University of Connecticut's main campus in Storrs, the Husky Heritage Sports Museum is the ultimate library documenting the wide-ranging successes of Connecticut's athletic programs.
Hours: 8 am - 5 pm
Summer Riding Lessons
Looking for something fun to do this summer? How about horse-back riding lessons?! Once again the University of Connecticut's Animal Science Department will be offering its popular Summer Riding Program to the public. Interested students should contact the Pre-College Summer office to ensure it will work with the schedule.
UCONN Dairy Bar
The UConn Dairy Bar opened in 1953 to sell dairy products that were made by the Creamery. The Creamery was established in the early 1900s and bottled milk all the way up until 1991. Today, the Creamery makes ice cream according to its original recipe and sells this ice cream through the Dairy Bar retail establishment, along with a variety of cheeses.
During your visit to the UConn Dairy Bar you may even have the chance to observe ice cream being made through the observation window in the Dairy Bar store. The ice cream production schedule cannot be guaranteed but is generally Monday – Friday from 11:00am – 2:00pm.
Hours: Monday – Sunday: 11:00am – 10:00pm
The Benton
The William Benton Museum of Art is Connecticut’s State art museum, located on the University of Connecticut campus at Storrs. Drawing largely from its collection of over 6,500 works of art, the Museum presents exhibitions of art dating from the 15th through the 21st centuries. The museum also creates special exhibitions drawn from outside sources as well as loaned exhibitions. Special events include gallery talks, campus art walks, academic and non-academic discussions, musical performances, and family programs.
Hours: Tuesday–Friday 10–4:30 Saturday-Sunday 1-4:30 First Thursdays - Open to 8pm

UCONN Book Store
The UConn Bookstore is the largest collegiate bookstore in Connecticut. UConn students head to the Bookstore to buy textbooks, attend book signings by distinguished national and local authors, purchase Huskymania merchandise, take care of all their banking needs, and unwind in the popular Café Co-op.

Visit UCONN Alumni Animal Barns
Everyone is welcome to explore the animal barns that are open to the public and to learn more about the animals that are used in the Department of Animal Science program. Visitors can see dairy and beef cows, sheep, and horses. The poultry units are closed to the public.
Young animals can be found in the barns at the following times of year at barns that are opened to the public: baby foals in the summer in outside paddocks at Horse Unit II, lambs during February and March outside only at Livestock Unit 1, dairy calves year-round at the Cattle Resource Unit and beef calves beginning in mid March outside at Livestock Unit 1.
Every day visitors can view the UConn dairy cows being milked from 12:30 - 3:00 p.m. at the Kellogg Dairy Center.
Hours: The barns are open every day including weekends and holidays from 10:00am – 4:00pm
Ballard Institute & Museum of Puppetry
The Ballard Institute and Museum of Puppetry is one of America’s hidden treasures—a superb collection of over 2,500 puppets from all over the world; an archive of books, manuscripts, posters, drawings, audio-visual materials and photographs all covering the history of puppetry. It is also the new home of the Puppeteers of America’s Audio-Visual Collection: the largest collection of videotapes, films, and other media about puppetry in the United States.

Located just steps from the University of Connecticut, Downtown Storrs is Mansfield's new downtown created by some of the nation's most talented urban planners and anchored by one of the most prestigious public universities in the nation.
