PCS Summer Checklist

PCS Summer Checklist

All forms must be completed, signed, and uploaded to your enrollment profile by Friday, June 14th.

Follow the list of instructions below to successfully upload your completed forms. Please note that students will not be able to check in until all completed forms are received. Completing these forms prior to your arrival will speed up the check in process.

Students will receive instructions via email to activate or reset their UConn NetID, a university network identifier. The NetID will allow you to connect to the campus Wi-Fi and complete any necessary online trainings, such as Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) training. Occasionally, this email gets filtered as spam, so please check your spam/junk folders.

Prior/Current UConn Affiliated Students: If you have taken a UConn Early College Experience course or an on-campus course, a NetID was previously assigned to you. Therefore, instead of a new NetID, students whom have previously been assigned a NetID will receive a "NetID Information" email. However, if you do not remember your NetID, or if you need to reset your password, you may do so by retrieving it at the UConn NetID Tools page.

Some academic courses require the completion of an online health and safety training, to 1) prepare the student to enter and learn in the academic or laboratory space, and 2) to enhance the academic experience and rigor of the academic course. Students that are required to complete this training will receive an email from the Pre-College Summer Program. Training will be accessed online via HuskyCT, UConn's learning management system, and must be completed before the start of the course.

Please note that students will not be able to attend their courses until required training is completed. To see if training is required for your course, check out the "Course Materials" section.

Students have received an email invitation with a link and passcode to download the PCS mobile app on a mobile device. The mobile app will be used to select workshops, receive communication from the Program, use a campus map, stay up to date of the week’s offerings, and more! Once downloaded, enter the student’s email address to link your account. Be sure to allow permission for app notifications.

Having trouble downloading the mobile app? Check out this video tutorial!

No mobile access? No problem! Use this link to access the mobile app on a web browser.

A series of exploratory workshops and activities are provided to all Pre-College Summer students regardless of chosen course. These workshops and activities allow students to come together in several workshops that represent a broad range of academic fields and diverse activities. Students will have the option to select which workshops or activities they will like to attend. Workshops do have maximum capacities and quickly fill up.

Workshop registration is open on our mobile app! Check your email for download details. Students can peek at what workshops will be offered by visiting this link.

Note: Students, with the exception of the courses listed below, will attend five (5) workshops total (two on Monday (2:00pm and 3:30pm), two on Wednesday (2:00pm and 3:30pm), and one on Friday (2:00pm)).

Pre-Med: Explore the Medical Field and Marine Biology students will only select a Friday at 2:00pm workshop, and Pre-Vet students will only attend workshops on Monday (2pm and 3:30pm) and Friday (2pm).

Any remaining balance of all program fees is due by Friday, June 14. Please note that students will not be able to check in until all fees have been paid in full.
