What to Bring

In preparation for an exciting week filled with fun and educational activities, there are a few items we thought you should keep in mind to make your experience at UConn run smoothly.

Your room will include a linen packet (sheets, pillowcase, thin blanket, washcloth, towel), however, you are welcome to bring your own linens too.

Linens: Pillow, pillowcase, sheets, blanket, towel/washcloth

Miscellaneous: Notebook, pen or pencil, shower caddy, hair dryer, sunscreen, laundry bag, clothes hangers, umbrella, watch, alarm clock.

Clothing: Casual wear (blue jeans, slacks, shorts, etc.), sports/workout gear, pajamas, rain wear, sneakers, flip flops, light jacket/sweater, bathrobe.

Optional: Laptop/tablet, camera, pocket money (approximately $20 per week), white t-shirt for tie dye.

Items NOT permitted: Extension cords, stereos or large radios, televisions, motor vehicles, mopeds/motorcycles, pets, super soakers/water guns, incense, candles, toasters, microwaves, drugs, alcohol

You will be walking a lot so bring comfortable shoes!  We emphasize bringing SUNSCREEN, RAIN COAT/UMBRELLA, APPROPRIATE SHOES FOR RAINY DAYS.

Students are responsible for taking care of their personal property at all times. We recommend that students do not bring jewelry, electronics, or expensive items that can be misplaced or stolen.

The Pre-College Summer at UConn program is not responsible for any personal belongings left behind at the conclusion of each session.
